Dogs Begging for Bones

There is excitement at my place after work each day. A sort of doggie drama.  If you are a dog lover, there's a good chance you know what I'm referring too. That period of time when you arrive home and there is frantic doggie walking, kissing, hugging, and begging for those before-dinner treats. Recently, Willy and Sugar have been extra ecstatic, performing all sorts of attention-seeking maneuvers for their bones. Even my picky eating Willy dances and begs for the newest flavor of Milk Bones I brought home. However, he can't hold a candle to Sugar's adorable dance moves.

Oh, look Willy! I think she's reaching for the yummies. Can you see?

Ah, yup.  It looks like it.

If I look pretty, maybe she'll hurry.

Geez Sugar. Like she hasn't seen that a billion times. Even I can do that.

But you can't do this!  Special dance, special dance, super fast special dance.

Here she comes!

Sorry, I didn't snap a photograph of them devouring the gravy bones. I used that opportunity to check my emails. It is just about the only time I have without them on my lap or doing the special dance for treats.

  1. They do love their dog treats! Willy must love having his canine friend Sugar these days. Hmmm... Where's that crazy cat of yours? Did she do something naughty again and get no treat?

    1. The crazy cat is always around, usually sitting in the rocking chair and swatting the dogs as they run by. She's a crazy cat. Willy is going to miss Sugar when she goes. Sugar may be glad for the peace and quiet when she goes. haha.

  2. Awww they're so sweet. Such a cute doggie dance! My little Sarah only did circles, but she was a pug. Guess it was too hard to hold that squatty body up on those little short legs! Your dogs are so cute and they really know how to please Mom too, don't they?

    1. These pups really do know how to make me happy. Nothing better than coming home to dancing doggies.

  3. My dog loves homemade dog biscuits but she also likes the milk bones too. Whenever my mother in law comes to visit she heads her right to the cookie cupboard.
    Love your dogs!

    1. Haha, Sandy, I swear I hear them talking. Plotting against me, trying to out-do each other, etc. It was so easy to imagine what they were saying.

  5. They are both soooooo cute! Yes, I am familiar with the "game" and have seen some pretty cute antics myself. It does look like Sugar may be teaching your old (relatively speaking) dog some new tricks. Better watch out! He might start "moon walking" just to keep up.

    1. Very true! He's definitely been trying to be more "cute" since she's been here.
